Here comes the competition of Samsung Galaxy 4 with the launch of HTC one Max 5.9 inch phablet the Taiwanese giant this time has made many changes to its design to give tough competition to Samsung galaxy S4 runs for it money the biggest being that it has got a removable back cover to micro SSD card to increase the memory of phablet so will HTC succeed in giving competition to brand like Samsung and Sony and able to win the confidence of consumers back let’s find out.
Build and Design
We have been hearing a lot that HTC is considering a large screen device to give competition to much reputed brand like Samsung and Sony and HTC one max has really got the big screen it is the biggest phablet produced by HTC at 5.9 inch and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone which also lets you unlock your phone.
It is the large version of HTC one 4.7 inch phone but apart from the size of screen there are few more important changes to the phablet the most important is that it has finally got the removable back cover but the bad thing is that you cannot change the battery because it is irremovable though HTC is offering an additional Power Flip case with a built-in 1150mAh battery. But you can insert the micro Sd card up to 64 GB inside the phone hence can increase the memory storage of the phablet it weights on the heavier side at around 7.65 ounces which is quiet heavy considering that Samsung same 5.7 inch phablet weighs around 5.93 ounces which is quiet portable compare to HTC one MAX. The new phablet measures 164.5×82.5×10.29mm
OS Hardware and Connectivity
The phablet runs on Android 4.2 version of jelly bean software the processor is a tad disappointment because it is powered by the same quad-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor as the original One, which has since been eclipsed the Snapdragon 800 it comes with two version of internal memory 16/32GB while it support up to 64GB of external memory the RAM is quiet Good at 2 GB its also runs on HTC sense 5.5 software which allows you to further customize HTC’s BlinkFeed menu and offers integration with services like Instagram and Google+.
As for connectivity HTC one max offer apart from 3G other connectivity option like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, DLNA and HTC Connect.
Camera and Battery
The rear of the phone is equipped with HTC’s UltraPixel Camera while there is a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera which also comes with HTC Zoe and HTC BoomSound, first seen on HTC One.
The phablet is powered by 3300mAh battery which can give up to 25 hours of talk time and 585 hours of standby time for 3G networks which is quiet good for phablet measuring 5.7 inch.
