Crazy Things That Cars Of The Future Might Do
We all know that car builders come up with all sorts of weird and wonderful features for us to use. Some features are much welcomed by motorists, whereas others are just a complete waste of time and space in our cars!
One of the hottest topics in the automotive world has to be autonomous car technology. In other words, self-driving cars! Nations around the world have been trialling autonomous cars. And examples of the technology are in use today in many locations.
Roadside collisions happen on a daily basis. It is perhaps unsurprising that car makers want to build safer cars for motorists. Of course, some cars of the future might have some other interesting features too.
Here are some examples of the weird and wonderful things our cars of the future might do!
Change colour depending on what music we listen to
The concept takes “mood lighting” to a whole different level! Imagine if we listened to a particular genre of music. The interior of our cars could change the colour to suit what the stereo is playing.
For instance, the lighting might turn red if we are listening to heavy metal music. Classical music could denote a calming mixture of blue and green hues.
Find your car in the world thanks to GPS
Have you ever used the “Find My Friends” app on the Apple iPhone? It allows you to locate (or spy on) where your friends and family members are. If you’re both near to each other, you could always ask them if they wanted to meet up for a coffee!
Imagine living in a world where the same thing could happen with cars. If you want to keep a grip on where your children end up, you could always track them by locating their cars. The only downside is that technology like this will always bring up privacy issues.
Come fly with me, let’s fly, let’s fly away
How awesome would it be to own a flying car! Jake from the RRG Group believes that it’s only a matter of time before this dream could become reality.
Have you seen the advanced technology octocopters have? Using a tablet or smartphone, you can fly these cool gadgets anywhere and with amazing stability. Such technology could, in theory, be in the cars of tomorrow.
Use free energy – from the sun
Solar power isn’t anything new; I must admit. Many people have photovoltaic panels on the roofs of their homes. Some even use such panels for charging small batteries in smartphones and laptops.
But imagine if you could harness the sun’s rays to power your car? It’s not as crazy as it sounds. In the future, it could be possible to produce cars that have photovoltaic body panels. Those panels can absorb the sun’s energy and charge batteries.
And to make such cars greener, those batteries could even drive electric motors! What features do you think cars of the future might have? Feel free to post up your ideas below!
