New Nokia 515 Specs, Price And Review
When the world has moves on to touch screen smart phones with large screen what has come into the mind of Nokia think tank to come up with a smart phone san touch screen, wi-fi and no 3G it seems that nokia has launched the phone 10 years later then it was scheduled to be launched
Build and Design
The candy bar shaped smart phone from Nokia measure 114 x 48 x 11 mm which is quiet thin enough to fit in the pocket easily it is also quite light at 101 grams. The aluminum casing and Gorilla Glass 2 covering the display add their fair share of weight, but on a shell this compact that’s barely felt.
The phone is quiet clean its black color looks quiet bright to the eyes the keyboard which are made of glossy plastic do spoil the look a bit otherwise the look of this classic phone is quiet eye candy.
Coming to the rear side which is made up of full aluminum with a rubber patch towards the bottom enabling the normal functioning of the radios inside. It’s also removable, by sticking the supplied pin into the small hole at the bottom, giving you access to the battery and card slots.
The screen of the phone is 2.4 inch in size which is protected by Gorilla Glass 2 covered curved screen which make the screen almost unbreakable there is also a classic keyboard just below the screen
Controls and Display
The navigation key is a built around a four-way D-pad with a confirmation center key and above the navigation key is the 2.4 inch display screen and just below is the physical keyboard while at the extreme top near the logo of Nokia is the speaker grill.
The volume rocker is placed at the right side of the phone while the left side is without any button while the microphone is located at the lowest row of keypad.
At the top we see all the connectivity ports – the microUSB port next to the 3.5mm headphone jack. While the backside is equipped with a powerfull 5 MP cameras with LED flash while the backside speaker is just near the bottom, next to the plastic patch.
The display is quite ordinary the 2.4 inch screen is equipped with a QVGA resolution and a modest pixel density of 167 which however isn’t that bad for the entry level class.
Battery and Verdict
The phone is equipped with 1200mAh battery which provide quite a ample talk time and a very nice stand by time in fact battery backup is one of the USP of this phone.
Though the phone has got some nice features like the aluminum build, Gorilla Glass 2 covered curved screen, a 5MP camera and LED flash but absence of Wi-Fi, 3G and touch screen makes the phone outdated.
Good: Good battery, physical keyboard, voice commands, Gorilla Glass 2 covered curved screen
Bad: No touch screen, No wi-fi, No smart dialing, quite expensive
