Xolo a subsidy of Lava Mobile is known for it good quality phone at cheap rate and Xolo A500S is no expectation so toady we are going to have a close look at this handset from Indian MNC Lava

Build, Display and Design

The build quality is great it’s does not give a cheap feels but look like a premium HTC brand of smart phones infect every other Xolo phone is a nicely build smart phone and A500S is again no expectation. The phone generates too much attention it looks like a high end phone, slim and sleek. The phone measures 63.2 x125 x 8.98 mm. Also very sleek, at 9mm, just 0.49mm thicker than the Galaxy S2

The 4 Inch WVGA, 480 x 800 Pixels resolution display is brilliant. Good color reproduction and is visible enough even in the outdoors it has got a great viewing angle and can play HD 720 video without any pixelation, where other smart phones don’t even support such videos in the similar price range. But it can’t play full HD 1080p video but that quiet understandable considering the price range of Xolo A 500S.

OS, Hardware and Features

The A500S runs on the latest version of Android 4.2 jelly bean the Ram is 512 MB and the internal memory is 4GB which can be extended up to 32 GB by the use of microSD card. The phone doesn’t lag courtesy its 1.2 GHz dual core, yes it’s 1.2 and a Mali 400 gpu. This graphics card is a beast, at least in the budget segment. Almost all games run smoothly.

Coming to connectivity the phone support browsing speed of up to 21 Mbps, it’s also support WI-FI, a GPS, Bluetooth version3 and a 3.5mm jack for listening to music but the stock headsets are of very poor quality it spoils the music experience its better to buy a good headset if you are a music buff.

Camera, Battery and Verdict

The 5 MP rear cameras are a bit bland and there is no auto focus it gives decent picture clarity only in the outdoors, that too without shaking the handset. Slight shake and the pictures is ruined. Secondary camera, is the trump card here, you can make video calls and click shelf photo.

The 1400mAH battery backup. Is lesser that I imagined. Works half a day of intensive usage you have to frequently charge the phone if you are a heavy user that is the one aspect which spoils the fun otherwise considering the price of 6.8 k this is a very nice phone.
